A History of Mobile Milestones
We were among the first companies to win a contract for Windows CE, and we began developing for Palm from its inception. When the iOS platform opened up for development it was a no brainer to adopt it and add Android, too. So as new technologies come along we continue to up our game. When you come to us with with your app idea, you can be assured we'll work with you to bring your vision to life through a well-thought-out technical implementation.
Our Beginnings
It all began at MacWorld in 1993. Company cofounder Lou Krieg went in search of great ideas for a new software company. One look at the Newton and the decision was simple … Green Mountain Software was born. The Newton was small, lightweight for its day and powerful — a true paradigm shift in computing. While PCs put the power of computing on our desktops, the Newton put the power— and simplicity— of computing into the hands of the rest of us. It was just the beginning of "All Things Mobile."

Lou Krieg
President and Founder
Lou grew up in Vermont, and after doing his stint with Fortune 500 companies found his way back. He is directly involved in collaborating with clients in architecting and developing mobile solutions that uniquely meet their needs. With more than 20 years of senior management experience, he works on some of the company's most innovative projects. He is a key advisor to our clients in vetting app ideas, making intelligent choices, and designing the best technical solution to achieve their goals. Lou has a demonstrated proficiency in mobile computing and networking technologies, including systems design and architecture, user interface design, communications, database design, embedded systems, and network management.
Ann Pettyjohn
Vice President and Founder
Ann is a native Oregonian, and found Vermont to be her "home" from the moment she set foot inside its borders. Ann is responsible for business development and operations. When it comes to working with Green Mountain Software, Ann is there to make sure your project runs smoothly. Ann has more than 20 years technology marketing experience, she has held senior management positions with Motorola, Prime Computer and Boise Cascade. Ann has a firm belief that Vermont and technology are a good mix. As a founding board member of the Vermont Technology Alliance, she is an evangelist for the software industry in Vermont.
